API Connectors

GambitAI works out of the box with no API keys required. Adding your own keys removes daily limits and enables richer prospect data.

Keys are stored in your browser's localStorage only. They are never sent to GambitAI servers, never logged, and never leave your browser except to call the respective API provider directly.

How to add connector keys

  1. 1. Open GambitAI and sign in
  2. 2. In the input row, click the Keys [+] button (blue, next to the input field)
  3. 3. Paste your API key into the relevant field
  4. 4. Click Save connectors
  5. 5. Active connectors appear as blue pills. A green dot confirms the key is loaded

Alternatively, use the gear icon in the header to open the full API Key Settings modal.

Serper API

Serper powers LinkedIn profile enrichment. When you paste a LinkedIn URL, GambitAI queries Google's index for public information about that profile using Serper's search API. No LinkedIn login, no scraping, no account risk.

Without Serper key

  • • 10 LinkedIn lookups per day (shared across all free users)
  • • After 10 lookups: paste the profile text manually to continue

With your Serper key

  • • Unlimited LinkedIn lookups (within your Serper plan)
  • • Serper's free tier: 2,500 searches/month

Getting your Serper API key

  1. 1. Go to serper.dev and create a free account
  2. 2. Navigate to API Keys in your dashboard
  3. 3. Copy your API key (starts with sk-)
  4. 4. Paste it into GambitAI's Serper field and save

Apify API

The Apify connector is optional and provides richer LinkedIn data via direct scraping through Apify's infrastructure. With Apify, GambitAI can access deeper information: recent posts, full experience history, skills, and endorsements, producing more specific and personalised messages.

When to use Apify

  • • High-value prospects where extra context matters
  • • When Serper results are thin (less well-known profiles)
  • • Bulk runs where message quality is more important than speed

Getting your Apify API token

  1. 1. Go to apify.com and create a free account
  2. 2. Navigate to Settings → Integrations → API token
  3. 3. Copy your personal API token (starts with apify_api_)
  4. 4. Paste it into GambitAI's Apify field and save

Apify's free tier includes $5/month of compute credits. LinkedIn scraping runs use a fraction of this.
